ABOUT ME

I am a hand stitcher;  I enjoy the feeling of the fabric, the thread and the needle in my hands as I sew. Stitching by hand takes time and the work develops slowly. Deciding on the right fabric, the right colour thread and the right stitch is also a slow process which I often get wrong and have to unpick and re-do, sometimes several times.  

The cloth I use has been gathered together over many years; it includes new, recycled and hand dyed fabric from many countries, as well as old clothes given to me by family and friends.
